Fade

Places are like memories, which fade with time.
But are not events and places that our memories make?

And with this all I arrive to the assumption
that no matter how much this body travels and these eyes see,
my mind stays unmovable,
firmly and coherently attached to the center of it's own universe.
Being that all around me keeps changing and shifting,
I find myself being the one and only permanent thing...


...Yet, I too change with places and events.
   So I fade myself into the oblivion of things
   where then I can finally be...
